Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats
Peanut Butter Treats For Dogs
Ingredients:
Two cups of flour (whole wheat)
One cup of wheat germ
One cup of peanut butter
One egg
Quarter cup of vegetable oil
Half cup of water
Pinch of salt
Preparation Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine flour wheat germ and salt in large bowl then mix in peanut butter, egg oil and water. Roll dough out onto a lightly floured surface till about half an inch thick, then cut into biscuits using a cookie cutter. Put the biscuits onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 15 mins for the smaller sized cookies and up to 35 mins. for larger shaped ones. Keep in the fridge to maintain freshness.

Half cup non fat powdered milk
One and one half tsp sugar
Pinch of salt
One egg
Eight ounces smooth peanut butter
One tbs garlic powder
Half cup water (cold)
Preparation Instructions:
Mix above ingredients together, adding water after other ingredients are mixed. Knead for 3 to 5 minutes. Dough should form a ball. Roll to half inch thick and cut into doggie bone shapes. Lightly grease a cookie sheet, and bake for 30 minutes (350 Degrees F.)
Glazed PB & Oats Cookies For Dogs
Ingredients:
One cup cold water
One cup plain instant oats
Quarter cup softened butter
Half cup cornmeal
One tbs sugar
Pinch of salt
Half cup milk
Third of a cup peanut butter
Three cups flour (whole wheat)
Glaze:
One egg
Two Tbs milk
Preparation Instructions:
Boil water in a saucepan. Add oats and butter. Let oats soak for ten minutes. Stir in the egg, sugar, salt, milk, peanut butter, and cornmeal. Mix thoroughly. Add the flour, one cup at a time until a stiff dough forms. Knead dough on floured surface until smooth, about three minutes. Roll to half inch thickness. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Now mix the glaze mixture well, and brush on with a pastry brush. Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown. Be sure to cool the cookies before serving.

One tsp peanut butter
Quarter cup vegetable shortening
One tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
Quarter cup rolled oats
Dribble of vanilla extract
Preparation Instructions:
In the microwave, heat honey and peanut butter until runny, appr 15 seconds. Mix ingredients together and drop by 1/2 teaspoonful onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 55 biscuits.
